Scripture: Romans 10:6, 9-11
6...“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we preach), 9 for, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. 11 For the scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
Romans 10:8-11
Thought: The world is filled with lots of things, but it doesn’t seem to have much conviction when it comes to faith. What is it that makes me, and many in the world, hesitant to use words that declare faith? A simple statement like “have a blessed day,” may stop someone in their tracks and make them reflect on what it is they believe.
Application: Find simple ways to show the love of Jesus to the world.
Response: Father, your love for me is greater than I can comprehend. I am thankful that you are patiently waiting each time that I come running to you and I am blessed with your presence in my family. Help me to embrace your Spirit that lives in me to share you more frequently with those you place in my path each day.
